We also provide comprehensive educational services designed to support all children and their families. Students also enjoy many of Carousel’s extracurricular activities such as art, dance, social skills group, and physical education. Our educational program supports and encourages children to reach their fullest potential. Each of our students has special skills and many benefit from more intensive and specialized service plans. Some of our students’ developmental and learning delays include: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s syndrome, Down syndrome, mental retardation (MR), cerebral palsy, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), emotional disturbance, Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), and communication disorders. Non-Public School Educational Program - Certification Carousel is certified by the California State Department of Education, and meets or exceeds all state program requirements. Carousel is open year-round, offering an After-School Socialization Program during the summer, winter, and spring breaks. Saturday Camp is also available. Designated Instructional Services (DIS) Carousel offers Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational and Physical Therapy, Specially-Designed Physical Education, Behavior Intervention, and Counseling.
