About: WNS has a history of pushing boundaries and achieving what was once deemed impossible. The history of WNS has set the foundation for our program and reflect each other at their core. Rather than settle for the status quo and what seemed safe at the time, both our history and our program are continuously challenged to reach further. WNS fosters a forward-thinking, growth mindset because we were founded by innovators who turned their ideas into reality. Sports: After-school athletics are offered for 4th-8th grade students: flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball, cross country, track and field. Electives: Electives vary by year. Some of the classes offered have included mock trial, robotics, service learning, early childhood mentoring, spring musical, architecture club, cooking, debate, creative writing, newspaper, yearbook and visual arts. Language immersion/programs: Spanish instruction is part of the academic curriculum for all students, PS-8. The Middle School Spanish Immersion Program is an accelerated option for students ready for the challenge of an all-Spanish speaking classroom environment. Each summer through the WNS Global Studies program, students embark upon a seven to nine-day trip that incorporates service learning and interdisciplinary study opportunities. Questions?
